Welcome to PiiC, my name is Gary Pankhurst and I have founded this company to support organisations to deal with the complex area of sexual violence and misconduct. The public awareness and concern over these issues has never been higher and the personal consequences and repetitional damage that can quickly develop from a poorly handled and mismanaged sexual complaint never greater. I have decades of experience within the investigation, safeguarding, risk management and review of sexual investigations involving adults and children. These include investigations within organisations including: Religious organisations, local authorities, health and corporate bodies.

My practical experience and applied knowledge has been supplemented with academic study and my PhD research is on interviewing processes in sexual investigations. I passionately believe that through knowledge, awareness and positive action we can all contribute to the eradication of sexual violence and misconduct. To this end as well as my professional and academic pursuits I am Chair and Co-Director of the International Investigative Interviewing Research Group, a worldwide network of professional practitioners, academics and students that promote ethical and effective interviewing based on well founded research.
